The Lonoke SharkRockets finished off a great season with some banner performances at the Central Arkansas Swim League Meet of Champs.
The star of show for Lonoke was Kayla McGee for the girls 15-18 age division. McGee faced some tough competition from Cabot’s Jessie Baldwin as the two finished first or second in almost every event.
McGee won the platinum freestyle and breaststroke, finished second in the platinum IM and gold fly and took third in the platinum back.
Five other Lonoke swimmers earned points in multiple races, ranging from the youngest to the oldest swimmers.
In the boys 6-Under, Kanon Williams finished second in the bronze free and third in the silver back.
Makenzie Bennett won the silver back and fly for the 15-18 girls, while Tristan Bennett was second in the silver free and back in the same group.
In the boys 15-18 division, Jimmy Evans finished first in the silver free and was second in the individual medley. Evan Wilson was second in the silver back and third in the breast. Tanner Canamore won the bronze IM, while Tanner Edwards finished third in the silver fly.
Kelyn Fagan won the bronze back for the 9-10 boys.
The girls 15-18 freestyle relay team finished third in the meet.
Several other Lonoke swimmers qualified and swam in the meet. Spencer McGhee swam in all five events for the SharkRockets. Baileigh Dulaney swam the free, breast, fly and IM. Emily Armstrong swam in the free, back and IM. Casey Long competed in the free and IM, while Colby Hartley did the free and breast.
