SharkRockets do well in meet at Maumelle

The Lonoke SharkRockets swim team scored 93 points in its second meet of the season at Maumelle on Saturday.

Local swimmers participating at Maumelle included: Sabrina Adams, Emily Armstrong, Will Armstrong, Dylan Baldwin, Logan Baldwin, Makenzie Bennett, Tristan Bennett, Peyton Blackard, Taylor Cash, Mason Clement, Tanner Edwards, Audrey Evans, Jimmy Evans, Hailey Fugatt, Lee Glover Langdon, Rani Heinmiller, Luke Hill, Autum Jinks, Breezie Jinks, Collin Jinks, Casey Long, Kayla McGee, Spencer McGhee, Jacob Morgan, Rachel Potter, Ruth Potter, Colton Tidwell, Nash Tipton and Evan Wilson.

Emily Armstrong won three races in the girls 11-12 division. She was first in the butterfly with a time of 40.89 seconds, the backstroke at 42.32 seconds and the breaststroke at 45.66 seconds. She was second in the freestyle with a time of 32.53 seconds.

Makenzie Bennett won two races in the girls 15-18 division. She was first in the individual medley with a time of 1 minute, 21.53 seconds and the freestyle at 31.03 seconds. She was second in the butterfly with a time of 35.44 seconds and the breaststroke at 43.40 seconds.

Tristan Bennett won the girls 13-14 breaststroke with a time of 44.37 seconds. She was second in the individual medley with a time of 1:24.78 and butterfly at 38.65 seconds. She was third in the freestyle with a time of 32.62 seconds.

Taylor Cash was second in the boys 15-18 individual medley with a time of 1:17.04. He was second in the freestyle with a time of 29.47 seconds and third in the breaststroke with a time of 39.41 seconds.

Tanner Edwards finished second in three races in the boys 13-14 division — individual medley with a time of 1:36.21, butterfly at 47.18 seconds and breaststroke at 58.36 seconds. He was third in the freestyle with a time of 34.13 seconds.

Jimmy Evans finished third in three races in the boys 13-14 division — individual medley at 1:41.87, butterfly at 49.69 seconds and breaststroke at 59.24 seconds.

Kayla McGee won four races in the girls 13-14 division. She swam the individual medley in 1:12.75, the freestyle in 26.82 seconds, the butterfly in 30.44 seconds and the breaststroke in 34.10 seconds.

Spencer McGhee was second in the boys 6-and-under freestyle with a time of 36.65 seconds and backstroke with a time of 41.53 seconds.
