Lonoke won 2 of 3 games from Southside Batesville on Friday at the Gina Cox Center.

Southside 35, Jr. Lady Rabbits 18

Southside outscored Lonoke 20-4 in the second half to beat the Junior Lady Jackrabbits 35-18.

Southside led 10-4 after one quarter but Lonoke got back into the game by outscoring Southside 10-5 in the second quarter to trail 15-14 at halftime.

Kylie Hobson led Lonoke with five points. Scoring four each were Keiunna Walker and Deria Allen. Mickenzie Williams and Kennedy White had two points each. Octavia Rogers added a free throw

Lady Rabbits 39, Southside 28

The Lonoke Lady Jackrabbits improved to 16-6 overall and 8-2 in 4A-2 league play with a 39-28 win over Southside Batesville on Friday.

Lonoke led 24-14 at halftime but only 30-25 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Lady Jackrabbits opened the fourth quarter with a 6-0 run to lead 36-25 with 3:40 left. Jarrelyn McCall hit four free throws and Kerasha Johnson hit a jumper to account for the run.

Southside scored four consecutive points to trail 36-28. Lonoke scored the game’s final three points. Eboni Willis hit a short jumper while Callie Whitfield hit 1 of 2 free throws.

McCall led Lonoke with 12 points. Willis had eight. Scoring four each were Johnson, Ashlyn Allen and Amanda Sexton. Savannah Holman had three. Whitfield scored one.

Rabbits 59, Southside 36

The Lonoke Jackrabbits used a 15-0 run in the third quarter to pull away from Southside for a 59-36 win on Friday.

Lonoke led 41-26 when Lonoke’s Blake Mack started the run with seven consecutive points. Tykel Gray then converted a three-point play. Cedric Cooney then hit 1 of 2 free throws before Mack scored four more.

Lonoke’s Fabio Araujo hit a jumper early in the fourth quarter to give the Jackrabbits a 58-28 lead to invoke the running clock.

Mack led Lonoke with 23 points. Gray had 14. Darius McCall had nine. Cooney scored five. Scoring two each were Jamel Rankin, Jawuan Bryant and Araujo. Justin Meadows added a free throw.

Jr. Lady Rabbits 33, Marianna 31

Lonoke edged Marianna 33-31 in a conference game Monday at the Gina Cox Center.

Lonoke led 9-4 after one quarter but the score was tied 16-16 at halftime.

Kennedy White led Lonoke with seven points. Scoring six each were Keiunna Walker and Kylie Hobson. Annie Whisnant and Maddie Pool had five points each. Scoring two each were Mickenzie Williams and Deria Allen.

Jr. Rabbits 46, Marianna 40

The Lonoke Junior Jackrabbits rallied from a 35-28 deficit after three quarters to beat Marianna 46-40 on Monday at the Gina Cox Center.

Lonoke outscored Marianna 18-5 in the final six minutes to get the win.

Haven Hunter scored 12 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter. Tyler Spencer hit 4 of 6 free throws while Conner Linton hit a field goal to account for the fourth quarter scoring.

Spencer finished with nine. Linton had eight. Jydan Johnson scored seven. Tammarea Moore had three. Scoring two each were Kylan Branscomb and Casey Martin.

Jr. Lady Rabbits 41, Riverview 21

Lonoke routed Riverview 41-21 last week.

Mickenzie Williams led Lonoke with seven points. Scoring five each were Keiunna Walker and Kennedy White. Kylie Hobson, Annie Whisnant and Destiny Bracy scored four points each. Arian Phillips and Deria Allen had three each. Scoring two each were Shakey Gomillion, Maddie Pool and Sydnee Gann.

Riverview 50, Jr. Rabbits 33

Rivierview knocked off Lonoke 50-33 in non-conference action last week.

Isaac Toney led Lonoke with 13 points — all in the second half. Haven Hunter had eight. Tyler Spencer had seven. Kylan Branscomb had three. Conner Linton added two.
