Lonoke scores points in state meet

Lonoke’s Eric Williams, triple jumping at the Jackrabbit Relays, finished sixth in the long jump at the Class 4A state track meet in Heber Springs.

The Lonoke Jackrabbits scored seven points in the Class 4A state track meet at Heber Springs two weeks ago while the Lady Jackrabbits scored four points.

The Jackrabbit 400-meter relay team, comprised of Eric Williams, D.J. Burton, Brent Sims and Blake Mack, finished fourth with at time of 43.75 seconds.

Williams finished tied for sixth in the long jump with a distance of 21 feet, 2 inches. Also jumping 21 feet, 2 inches was Nashville’s Ja-Karee Gaines.

Lonoke’s Haiden Jeter finished fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 39.97 seconds.
