Lonoke junior high teams fall at Beebe tourney

The Lonoke Junior Jackrabbits and Junior Lady Jackrabbits both came up short in the first round of the Beebe Junior High Tournament on Saturday at the Badger Sports Arena.

The Junior Jackrabbits lost to Harding Academy 42-14; the Junior Lady Jackrabbits lost to Central Arkansas Christian 34-18

In the boys game, Harding led 10-3 after one quarter and 22-7 at halftime

Four players scored three points each. They were Haven Hunter, Tyler Spencer, Will Armstrong and Isaac Toney. Kylan Branscomb added two points.

In the girls game, CAC led 7-1 after one quarter and 15-3 at halftime.

Arian Phillips and Destiny Bracy led Lonoke with five points each. Scoring two each were Deria Allen, Kylie Hobson, Octavia Rogers and Robyn Waters. Keiunna Walker added a free throw.

Jr. Lady Rabbits 28, Hazen 20

Lonoke knocked off Hazen 28-20 last week

Lonoke trailed 16-13 after three quarters before rallying for the win.

Arian Phillips and Maddie Pool led Lonoke with four points each. Scoring three each were Deria Allen, Destiny Bracy and Mickenzie Williams. Keiunna Walker and Kylie Hobson had two points each. Hitting a single free throw were Annie Whisnant, Jayla Johnson and Kyra Ellison.
