The Lonoke Lady Jackrabbits gave Valley View a run for its money in the first round of the Class 4A East Region tournament before falling 69-46 on Feb. 20 at Heber Springs High School.
Lonoke, which played this season without any seniors, ends the 2012-13 season with a record of 14-14.
Lonoke trailed 22-14 after one quarter. Jarreyln McCall scored four points in the first quarter while Kerasha Johnson and Callie Whitfield had three points each. Scoring two each were Jasalyn Truelove and Amanda Sexton.
Lonoke pulled to within six at 35-29 at halftime. McCall and Johnson scored four points each while Eboni Willis had three. Sexton and Whitfield scored two points each.
The Lady Blazers started to pull away in the third quarter, outscoring Lonoke 17-7 to lead 52-36 heading into the fourth quarter.
Johnson scored three points for Lonoke in the third quarter while McCall had two. Scoring one each were Willis and Riely Rowton.
McCall, a freshman, led Lonoke with 12 points. Johnson had 10. Whitfield added eight. Sexton scored six. Willis had four. Ashlyn Allen, a freshman, had three. Truelove had two while Rowton added a free throw.
