It was a tough night for the Lonoke Lady Jackrabbits volleyball team at Southside Batesville on Tuesday.

The Lady Southerners beat Lonoke 25-9, 25-20, 25-10, dropping the Lady Jackrabbits to 6-5 in the 4A-Central after starting conference play at 4-1.

The Lady Jackrabbits beat Southside Batesville in five games Sept. 12 at the Gina Cox Center. The scores were 5-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-16, 15-10.

“We played wonderfully against them here,” Lonoke coach Laura Park said. “Yesterday, we acted like we had never been on the court.

“Instead of progressing, we’re regressing. It’s very frustrating.”

Lonoke has made the state tournament 11 consecutive seasons. The Lady Jackrabbits will host the 4A-Central volleyball tournament at the Gina Cox Center and Lonoke Middle School on Oct. 21-23.
