Lady Jackrabbits drop two matches

The Lonoke Lady Jackrabbits had a tough time in the past week, dropping two matches.

Lonoke lost to Clinton in three games Tuesday and lost to Marianna in five games Sept. 26 at the Gina Cox Center.

Clinton beat Lonoke 28-26, 26-24, 25-21.

Against Marianna, Lonoke won the first two games — 25-22, 25-12. Marianna tied the match by winning games 3 and 4 by scores of 25-20, 25-17. Marianna, which beat Lonoke earlier this season, won the fifth game 15-13.

The Junior Lady Jackrabbits lost two conference matches, falling to Marianna 25-14, 25-14 last week at the Gina Cox Center. They also lost to Clinton in three games. The scores were 23-25, 25-18, 15-5.

Lonoke’s junior girls played in a tournament at Jessvieville on Saturday. After pool play, Lonoke beat Fountain Lake in three games. The scores were 15-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Lonoke’s day ended with a 25-13, 25-17 loss to Mena.
