Junior Jackrabbits now 6-1 after beating Marianna

Lonoke’s Conner Linton returns a punt earlier this season. Linton scored a two-point conversion against Marianna last week.

The Lonoke Junior Jackrabbits improved to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in 4A-2 action with a 43-20 win over Marianna last week.

Lonoke led 6-0 after one quarter. Logan Dozier scored on a 6-yard run.

The Junior Jackrabbits led 14-6 at halftime. Michael Hodges scored on a 12-yard run. Conner Linton scored the two-point conversion on a pass from Dozier.

Each team scored 14 points in the third quarter. Dozier scored on a 40-yard run and returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Ricky Nichols scored a two-point conversion.

The Junior Jackrabbits scored 15 points in the fourth quarter. Casey Martin caught a 35-yard touchdown pass. Isaac Toney scored on a 4-yard run. Nichols added a two-point conversion and Martin kicked an extra point.

Dozier completed 3 of 9 passes for 68 yards.

Lonoke will play at Stuttgart tonight. Game time is 7 p.m.
