Jackrabbits swim in Cabot meet

The Lonoke Jackrabbits finished third last week in the second Cabot Panther Invitational of the season, ahead of North Little Rock and Searcy in the five-team field.

Larger powers Conway and Cabot finished first and second, respectively.

Colby Rogers was the top Jackrabbit swimmer during the meet. Rogers finished sixth in the 100-yard freestyle and eighth in the 50-yard freestyle race.

The 50-yard freestyle also saw Tanner Canamore finish ninth, Tanner Edwards in 13th, Jimmy Evans right behind in 14th and Casey Long in 19th.

The Lonoke swimmers also all competed in the 100-yard freestyle. After Rogers’ sixth place finish, there was a group of Rabbits close together. Edwards finished ninth, followed by Evans in 10th. Canamore finished 12th, while Long was next at 13th.

Lonoke also competed in the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay races. The Rabbits finished third in both events.
