On Thursday, June 19 the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. to 40 friends and neighbors.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the program, leading the attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and singing “God Bless America,” accompanied by Anita Weathers on the piano.

Bryson Harpole gave the invocation and invited everyone to remember those in need of prayer.

After young Bowen Weathers, song leader, had everyone sing “Amazing Grace,” Larry Weathers and his band: Fred Staley, Pattie Weathers, R.J. Greenwood, and Bryson Harpole entertained everyone with their special music and songs. Larry is famous for writing and recording music

Larry Weathers blessed the food. Everyone enjoyed their dinner.

This Thursday, June 26, Fred Staley and Lisa Thomas will present a program of music and songs. Delighting everyone with some older songs.

Everyone is invited to attend the Thursday Woodlawn Community Center’s events at 10070, Arkansas Highway 31 North.

Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for potluck.
