Parent group selling chrome rabbits

The parents of Lonoke High School students have formed an organization called PALS, Parents and Lonoke Schools. This group is dedicated to making the high school the best that it can be for LHS students and the future students who will attend this school.

LHS PALS is currently having a fundraiser to buy picnic tables for the areas behind the school for the students to have a place to sit during their lunch period and before school. There is going to be a pavilion built after the construction of the Gina Cox Multipurpose Center is completed. Some of the tables would be put under this pavilion.

LHS PALS would also like to purchase signs for downtown Lonoke to direct out -of-town visitors to the high school. After the Cox Center is finished and Lonoke begins hosting tournaments, pageants and other community events, these signs will help direct visitors to the school.

The fundraiser is a chrome-plated Jackrabbit that will attach to your car, truck, boat, golf cart, etc. They are similar to the chrome Razorbacks you see on the backs of many cars as you travel the state, according to Janice McCall.

The chrome-plated Jackrabbits are on sale at several business around town, including M&M Florist, Lyons Drug Store, Sew What, Sassy Styles, Emily’s, and Lil Hair Hut. The rabbits are also available at the LHS library. The cost is one for $15, or 3 for $40.
