Lonoke student expelled for remainder of the school year

The Lonoke School Board met on Monday night during a special meeting to discuss disciplinary issue with a male high school student.

By unanimous vote of the board, a tenth grade, male high school student was expelled for the remainder of the school year for violation of Rule 16; alcohol, drugs, and inhalants. Neither the student or the student’s parent attended the hearing. The hearing was closed to the public.

Karen James was absent from the meeting.

The next regular board meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 21 in the administration building.
