Lonoke man killed in 1-30 crash

A Lonoke man was killed Tuesday in a fiery crash on Interstate 30.

Jerry L. White, 70, was driving an 18-wheeler east at 9:10 a.m. on I-30 near the 130 mile marker in Pulaski County when he left the roadway and struck a guardrail and a concrete wall barrier, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police. The vehicle caught fire and came to rest blocking an exit ramp and service road.

The conditions were clear and the roadways dry at the time of the accident.

The death was the 11th fatal accident on Arkansas roadways this year.
