On Aug. 13, the Lonoke Lions Club collected school supplies as their “service project” for the month of August. Lion President Nicole Cornwell said that the club will have one service project each month.
In July, the club members were asked to bring food donations and/or monetary donations to be passed on to the Family Resource Center. Our guest speaker was Ashley Parker, assistant Lonoke Prosecuting Attorney. The Lonoke Lions Club meets every first and third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Lonoke Masonic Lodge.
If someone is looking for a way to “give back” to the community, please consider joining the Lonoke Lions Club, a spokesman said. For more information, please contact Cornwell at 501-676-4510.
