Going to the Rice Expo? There’s an app for that

Let your smartphone be your guide with the 2014 Arkansas Rice Expo app. The app, available for iOS and Android smart phones, is free.

The Arkansas Rice Expo will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 1, at the Grand Prairie Center, 2807 Highway 165 South, Stuttgart.

To download the free 2014 Rice Expo App, go to, or find the Android version in Google play.

The Rice Expo app is a product of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service, and was developed by Dharmendra Saraswat, associate professor and extension engineer; the iOS version was developed through a volunteer effort by Ayush Saraswat.

The app can get directions to the Grand Prairie Center as well as navigate the different venues of the Rice Expo. A complete schedule, list of keynote speakers, and a link to the @ARiceExpo twitter feed are also in the app.
