Lonoke Primary School student Jameson Reed entered a contest and was a winner in the Fancy Nancy Six-State Mobile Tour.

Lonoke schools were one of four schools chosen to be a “secret stop” as book illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser was promoting the book Fancy Nancy: Fanciest Doll in the Universe. She spoke last week.

While at the schools, Glasser read the new book, talked to the kids about reading, writing and illustrating.

She also talked about her background as a ballet dancer and illustrator, demonstrated good posture and being presentable to others and the three things a person must do to succeed — practice, practice, practice.

While in Lonoke, Glasser spoke to students at the primary and elementary schools.
