Payment of the costs for district courts at Lonoke and Carlisle will be made Wednesday, County Judge Doug Erwin said Tuesday. The assurance came after a special meeting held Tuesday concerning the payment.

County Judge Doug Erwin and Justices of the Peace B.J Weathers, H.L. Lang, Darrin Waymack, Lee Linville, Bill Ryker, Tim Lemons, Mike Dolan and Larry Odom.

A court ruling made in a lawsuit filed by Lonoke found the county owed the funds to the cities.

County clerk Larry Clarke said there would be two checks, $45,451.07 to Carlisle; $43,030.58 to Lonoke.

Clarke said the funds had been appropriated at the last Quorum Court meeting, but which fund the money would be drawn from needed to be affirmed.
