Lonoke High School students and staff were honored at the May 19 school board meeting.

Students honored were senior Dwight Johnson and junior Madison Peckat. The licensed staff member of the month was Dixie Rye. Marsha Jones was the classified staff member of the month. Recognition was also given to volunteer Jimmy Pawlowski.

School board members in attendance were Matt Boyles, Mike Brown, Karen James, Tony Kelleybrew and Eddie Pennington. Darrel Park and Johnie Watson were absent.

The board unanimously approved raising the prices of lunch for both students and teachers by 25 cents. A student’s lunch will cost $2.25 while the adult lunch will be $3.25. It will be effective for the 2014-15 school year. Brown made the motion; it was seconded by Kelleybrew.

The board accepted the resignation of high school science teacher Stephanie Testerman.
