Board approves school HVAC plan

The Lonoke School board met Monday night during a special board meeting to discuss the Primary School HVAC plan.

Clayton Vaden, of Lewis Architects Engineers presented a design plan for the Primary School HVAC project. After the presentation, the board voted unanimously to proceed with the bidding process based on the plan design presented by Vaden for the Primary School HVAC project. This district goal is to start as soon as school is out, and have completed by start of school in August.

Also by unanimous vote, the board accepted the resignation of Tanya Thomas, Primary School Special Education teacher and approved changing Karen Burgess contract from a 10 month contract to a nine month contract.

Matt Boyles and Mike Brown were absent from the meeting.

The next regularly schedule meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 19, at the superintendent’s office.
