2014 Arkansas State High School Championship

Lonoke Jackrabbit freshman swimmer Kayla McGee gained a personal best and won Saturday’s high school state championship 50-yard freestyle race with a time of 25.34. In addition, she placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke 1 minute, 11.30 seconds.

She is the first LHS swimmer to make it to state swim meet.

The Class 4A Basketball State Tournament is this week at the Gina Cox Center. Best of luck to all the teams participating in the tournament event, and a big thank you to all the volunteers, staff, faculty, board members, parents, students, businesses, and community members that have worked behind the scenes and otherwise to put this tournament together. You are greatly appreciated! We are honored to be hosting this event.
