‘First Annual Legends of Lonoke Concert’ set

The Lonoke Public School District is hosting the first annual “Legends of Lonoke” concert in May. The date and time is still being determined. We are seeking singing acts that can “look like” and “sound like” famous singing legends.

To enter the show, you must be 16 years old or over and live in Lonoke, attend the school district, or be employed by the school district. There will be a tryout in order for our judges to select participants to perform for the concert. This concert will be a fund-raising effort for the school system. The team of acts, along with the administration and other employees of the school district will work together to determine fund-raising needs and will announce at a later date.

Please contact the central office if you are interested in trying-out for this concert event. Contact information is 501-676-2042. Please provide your name, age, contact information, and the singing legend that you will be performing for the try-out. Meeting and tryout dates will be forth coming so that plans can be made and finalized for the upcoming concert.

We know that Lonoke has many talented singers that can sing, dress up like legendary stars, and entertain the crowd. We are hoping to put on a concert that the entire family can enjoy. Please call in your information or stop by the central office to leave your information no later than Monday, April 8, 2013. You will be contacted about the tryout date and any other pertinent information.
