McGee leads way in SharkRockets meet at Bryant

Lonoke SharkRockets swimmer Kayla McGee scored 20 of her team’s 111 points in Saturday’s swim meet at Bryant.

McGee won four races in the girls 13-14 age division. She finished first in the freestyle with a time of 26.70 seconds, the backstroke at 31.78 seconds, the breaststroke at 34.15 seconds and the butterfly at 29.78 seconds.

McGee also was part of the girls 18-and-under freestyle relay team which won its race with a time of 56.63 seconds. Others participating included Tristan Bennett, Emily Armstrong and Makenzie Bennett.

Other Lonoke swimmers participating in the Bryant meet include: Sabrina Adams, Will Armstrong, Dylan Baldwin, Logan Baldwin, Taylor Cash, Mason Clement, Eli Dollinger, Tanner Edwards, Audrey Evans, Jimmy Evans, Hailey Fugatt, Colby Hartley, Hannah Hartley, Rani Heinmiller, Brooke Hills, Luke Hill, Autumn Jinks, Breezie Jinks, Collin Jinks, Casey Long, Ben Main, Spencer McGhee, Jacob Morgan, Rachel Potter, Ruth Potter, Colton Tidwell, Brayden Wilson and Evan Wilson.

Emily Armstrong finished second in four races in the girls 11-12 age division — the freestyle at 31.78 seconds, the backstroke at 39.53 seconds, the butterfly 41.78 seconds and the individual medley at 1 minute, 26.88 seconds.

Makenzie Bennett won the girls 15-18 individual medley with a time of 1:24.53 and the butterfly with a time of 37.09 seconds. She was second in the backstroke with a time of 41.48 seconds. She was third in the breaststroke at 44.43 seconds.

Tristan Bennett was second in four races in the girls 13-14 age division. She swam the freestyle in 33.05 seconds, breaststroke in 44.44 seconds, the butterfly in 38.91 seconds and individual medley in 1:26.46.

Taylor Cash was third in the boys 15-18 freestyle with a time of 28.75 seconds.

Tanner Edwards won the boys 13-14 freestyle with a time of 34.50 seconds and the butterfly with a time of 41.63 seconds. He was third in the individual medley with a time of 1:36.39.

Jimmy Evans was third in the boys 13-14 backstroke with a time of 43.40 seconds.

Brooke Hill won the girls 11-12 freestyle with a time of 33.33 seconds. She was second in the backstroke at 41.13 seconds, the breaststroke at 45.03 seconds and the butterfly at 42.67 seconds.

McGhee won the boys 6-and-under butterfly with a time of 55.12 seconds. He was second in the backstroke with a time of 34.18 seconds.

Tidwell was third in the boys 13-14 freestyle with a time of 37.21 seconds and the butterfly with a time of 42.57 seconds.

Brayden Wilson was second in the individual medley with a time of 1:43.65 and third in the freestyle with a time of 37.21 seconds.

Evan Wilson was second in the boys 15-18 individual medley with a time of 1:13.75. He was third in the backstroke at 36.28 seconds and the breaststroke at 38.60 seconds.
