Lady Bison stay perfect in 2A-6 play

The Carlisle Lady Bison improved to 9-6 overall and 6-0 in 2A-6 play with a 47-33 win over Hughes on Tuesday at Bison Arena.

Carlisle led 11-9 after one quarter but trailed 18-16 at halftime.

The difference was the third quarter. The Lady Bison outscored Hughes 15-4 in the third quarter.

Faith Walker led Carlisle with 30 points. Breanna Young had eight. Presley Carter finished with six. Sloane Henderson scored three.

The Lady Bison blew out Palestine-Wheatley 55-24 on Friday night.

Calrisle led 14-4 after one quarter and 26-14 at halftime.

Walker led Carlisle with 29 points. Henderson had eight. Carter had seven. Kayla Golleher scored six. Madison Walter and Rachel Jones had two points each. Peyton Hitchings had one.

Junior Lady Bison

The Carlisle Junior Lady Bison knocked off McCrory 41-33 in the first round of the Bradford Junior High Invitational last week.

Carlisle led 7-5 after one quarter and 15-14 at halftime. The difference in the game was the fourth quarter. Carlisle outscored McCrory 17-13 in the final six minutes.

Kylie Warren led Carlisle with 21 points. Arius McClain had 14. Elex McClain and Nikita Harper had three points each.

Carlisle beat Palestine-Wheatley 31-13 in a conference game Friday night.

Nicquira Burnett Harper led Carlisle with six points each. Elex McClain and Journey Jennings had four points each. Ashby Terry had three. Scoring two each were Arius McClain, Madeleine Brown and Hayley Hedrick.

The Junior Lady Bison fell to Bald Knob in the semifinals at Bradford on Saturday.

Bald Knob led 14-7 after one quarter and 21-10 at halftime before the Lady Bison made a run in the second half to get close.

Warren led Carlisle with 14 points. Arius McClain had seven. Harper had six. Terry scored four. Elex McClain added two.

The Junior Lady Bison avenged an earlier loss to Riverview, beating the Junior Lady Raiders 36-22 on Monday at Bison Arena.

Carlisle led 11-3 after one quarter and 20-8 at halftime.

Warren and Arius McClain led Carlisle with 11 points each. Elex McClain had six. Harper and Terry had four points each.

Bison

The Carlisle Bison fell behind 18-0 after one quarter in a 58-22 loss to the Hughes Blue Devils on Tuesday night at Bison Arena.

Nick Schafer led the Bison with 12 points. Bryden Weems scored five. Cole Sheets had three.

Palestine-Wheatley knocked of Carlisle 56-27 on Friday night.

Carlisle trailed 19-12 after one quarter. The Patriots then outscored the Bison 18-4 in the second quarter to lead 37-16 at halftime.

Weems led Carlisle with 12 points. Sheets had eight. Schafer scored five. Dominic Castleberry scored two.

Junior Bison

The Carlisle Junior Bison fell to Hughes 45-4 in a conference game.

Shawn Wakefield led Carlisle with four points. Mitch Lewis had one.

The Junior Bison lost to Riverview 44-16 on Monday.

Riverview led 18-7 after one quarter and 31-14 at halftime.

Jamarious Harper led Carlisle with seven points. Zach Caviness had four. Drake Adams three. Lewis had two.

The Junior Bison lost to Bradford 39-25 in the first round of the Bradford tournament last week.

Harper and Caviness led Carlisle with seven points each. Adams scored five. Lewis had three. Brent Bowlan and Tre Hill had two points each. Carson Cunningham had one.
