The Carlisle Lady Bison won two scrimmages games against Forrest City and North Pulaski during a jamboree at Little Rock Fair on Saturday.

During four quarters of action, senior Faith Walker had 32 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Presley Carter had 12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Senior Morgan Walter had 6 points. Freshman Kayla Golleher had 4 points. Sophomore Rachel Jones had 2.

“There were a lot of positives come out of it,” third-year Carlisle coach Jonathan Buffalo said. “You get to put on uniforms. You get to play against someone else who is not your teammate. I thought we did a lot of good things. At times, we did well against the pressure. At other times, I thought we turned the ball over too much.

“It’s all things that can be corrected.”

Carlisle scored 19 field goals with 11 assists.

“I thought we did a good job of moving the basketball around,” Buffalo said. “Right now, we’re trying to mix in some young kids with older kids, trying to gel them together.”

Carlisle opens the season Nov. 19 at England. The Lady Bison beat them 2 of 3 games last year but were all played at Bison Arena.

“We know that will be a tough one,” Buffalo said. “It’s always a tough place to play. They have a good team. But it will be a learning experience for us.”
