Lady Bison knock off England for first win

The Carlisle Lady Bison knocked off England 12-6 to earn their first softball win of the season last week on Bobby Glover Field at Rockefeller Park.

England scored two runs in the top of the first but the Lady Bison responded with two of their own to tie the game after the first inning.

Lexi Andrews and Morgan Walter each scored in the first inning. Katlyn Stock, McKayla Prince and Ashby Terry were stranded on base to end the inning.

After a scoreless second inning, the Lady Bison responded with 10 runs in the bottom of the third to lead 12-2. Andrews, Terry and Sloane Henderson scored two runs each. Also scoring in the frame were Taylor Mealler, Prince and Faith Walker.

England scored twice in both the fourth and fifth innings.

Mealler got the win, striking out six in the victory.
