The Carlisle Lady Bison softball team split a conference doubleheader with Brinkley on Tuesday.
In addition to that, Carlisle beat England 13-10 last week.
Carlisle scored three runs in the first inning to lead 3-0. Scoring were Hannah Cooper, Maddie Harrison and Presley Carter.
Carlisle pushed its lead to 6-0 with three more runs in the second. Scoring were Cooper, Harrison and Katlyn Stock.
England scored a single run in the second but the Lady Bison scored twice in the top of the third to lead 8-1. Scoring were Mallari Devinney and Heather Gordon.
England scored three runs int he third to cut the deficit to 8-4.
The Lady Bison pushed their lead to 12-4 with four runs in the fifth. Scoring were Cooper, Harrison, Devinney and Gordon.
Carlisle’s final run came in the sixth. Gordon plated her third run of the game.
England scored once in the sixth and five times in the seventh to set the final score.
Carlisle also dropped both games of a doubleheader to Des Arc two weeks ago.
The Lady Eagles won the first game 5-1 and the nightcap 10-7.
In the first game, Carlisle’s lone run came in the fifth inning. Morgan Walter led off the inning by reaching base and scoring.
In the second game, Carlisle trailed 10-1 after three innings.
Gordon scored Carlisle’s first run in the second inning. The Lady Bison then plated six runs in the fourth. Scoring were Cooper, Carter, Gordon, Stock, Walter and Ashley Reid. The Lady Bison left the bases loaded.
Des Arc then retired Carlisle in order in the bottom of the fifth to get the win.
