Hazen sweeps Carlisle in softball

The Hazen Lady Hornets swept Carlisle in a softball doubleheader Tuesday on Bobby Glover Field at Rockefeller Park.

Hazen won the first game 10-1 and the nightcap 3-2.

In the first game, Carlisle’s only run came in the fourth inning. Maddie Harrison scored.

Hazen scored twice in the second, four times in the third, three times in the fourth and once in the fifth.

In the second game, Carlisle led 2-1 after the top of the fourth inning. Heather Gordon scored runs in the second and fourth.

Hazen tied the game at 2-2 with a run in the bottom of the fourth. The Lady Hornets won the game in the bottom of the fifth when they scored with two outs.

Carlisle had several other chances to score in the second game. Hannah Cooper was stranded at third base in the first inning. Katlyn Stock was stranded at third int he second. Mallari Devinney was stranded at second base in the third inning.
