Carlisle’s final conference games with Palestine-Wheatley, scheduled for Friday night, will be played Tuesday at Bison Arena for Senior Night. Junior boys, senior girls and senior boys will be played, starting at 5 p.m.
The game was originally postponed because of icy conditions this past Tuesday, Feb. 4. It was postponed on Friday because Palestine-Wheatley school officials said their teams would not come to Carlisle because of the threat of winter weather.
Because of the delays in several conference games, the junior high district tournament, which was scheduled to start Saturday at Clarendon will be played at the same time as the senior high tournament. This was the first year that the tournaments were to be separated and played as a straight tournament without the top two teams seeded to the semifinals. However, that will not be the case this year.
The 2A-6 district tournaments will start at Clarendon on Saturday, Feb. 15.
The regional tournament will start Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Bison Arena in Carlisle.
Carlisle was scheduled to play Conway Christian in a non-conference game Tuesday but that is now cancelled.
