Progressive club holds February meeting

Fifth and sixth grade students at Carlisle Elementary School were amazed by the 3-D printer presentation provided through the Carlisle Public Library. Lynnette Ward, public librarian, coordinated the event. Meagan Ashcraft, the presenter, taught students about the history and mechanics of the 3-D printer, passed around previously printed items, and for the grand finale, allowed students to observe the printer in action. Carlisle Public Library accepted Food for Fines during November and December. Patrons were allowed to bring in can goods and fines would be forgiven. The Carlisle High school Dance team held its annual junior dance clinic the week of Jan 20-23, 2015. The girls dance on Friday night Jan 23 during the senior boys half time to a Grease mix. CHS Dance team would like to say a special thank you to all parents and grandparents for not only sharing your girls with us for the week but also for showing up to the game and supporting all Bison big and little. Carlisle Elementary School has received a $500 grant from the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Program to support the school’s math and science endeavors. Circle N Market worked with school officials to secure the grant which is one of 2,400 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations. The grants were made possible by funding from the Exxon Mobil Corporation.
