Neighborhood watch planning meeting today

Robin Rountree announced a city wide neighborhood watch meeting will be held at 6 p.m. tonight (Thursday) at the Carlisle Civic Center, during the Chamber of Commerce meeting on Monday.

Students from the GATE program at Carlisle Elementary School participated in the Wilbur D. Mills Spring Chess Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the National Guard Armory in Searcy. Various schools across the area, such as Cabot, Lonoke, Beebe, Rose Bud, and McCrory, participated in this semi-annual event.After five rounds of chess, two Carlisle third-graders and one Carlisle fourth grader took home a trophy.
