Cody Snider has been promoted to first vice president of BancorpSouth in Carlisle, according to a press release from Al Morris, president of BancorpSouth in Stuttgart.

Snider joined BancorpSouth in June, 2002. In his 11 years with BancorpSouth, he has served as a teller, branch manager/loan officer of the Stuttgart South branch and vice president of the Carlisle branch.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance-banking from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Snider has completed a wide range of banking and financial coursework focusing on small business, cash flow and commercial lending.

Snider is a long-time resident of Hazen and is active in various community organizations including past president of the Carlisle Lions Club, First Vice District Governor District 7-N of the Arkansas Lions Club, member of the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Hazen Chamber of Commerce, secretary/treasurer of the Grand Prairie Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and church council chairman of Hazen First United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Sarah are the parents of one child, Luke.
