Carlisle man faces child porn charges

A Carlisle man was arrested for child pornography after officers respond to disturbance call and are told by a complainant of child pornography on a cell phone.

On July 30, the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Department received a call about a disturbance at a home on Daniels Road in Carlisle.

While on the scene, deputy’s received information from a resident that videos of child pornography had been found on the cell phone of male, identified as Pleaze Laster, 22 of Carlisle. Sheriff John Staley said the pornography was found while the resident was trying to make a call.

According to a press release from the Lonoke Sheriff’s Department, Detective Carla Lucas seized the phone and executed a search warrant on the phone. The search found several videos depicting inappropriate activity with children.

On Tuesday, Staley said there were pictures on the phone of 13 children between the ages of nine and 12 years of age.

“It was on his cell phone,” Staley said. “He admitted it was his cell phone.”

Laster has been arrested for 13 counts of pandering or possessing visual or print medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, which is a Class C Felony. He is currently being held on a $50,000 bond at the Lonoke County Detention Center.
