Altruistic club holds March meeting

The Carlisle Altruistic Club met March 13 in the home of Jan Pasley.

President Carolyn Martin called the meeting to order. Pat Hogan led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance. Thelma Shook called roll and read the minutes of the last meeting. Thank you notes, one from the family of Gordon Tarter, and one from the Immanuel Baptist Church, were read. Treasurer Dorothy Elmore read the financial report.

District IV President Hazel Swilley reported on the spring board meeting March 9 in Hazen at the Calvary Baptist Church Family Life Center. The Altruistic Club received the first place award on their scrap book, art and on their Christmas program. A discussion was held on replacing the Nativity items. It was decided to check out cost of the items.

The next meeting will be April 10 at Dorothy Elmore’s home with Dorothy as Hostess and Program leader. The club was adjourned with the collect.
