The annual Miss Carlisle Pageant, sponsored by the Carlisle Heritage League, will be held at 5 p.m. this Saturday, April 5, at the Carlisle Elementary School.
All the girls in the pageant must live in the Carlisle School District, or attend Carlisle Schools. Pageant categories range from birth to seniors in high school. There will also be photogenic categories.
Categories for photogenic include the same ages, with the exception of boys, they may enter up to kindergarten age. Contestants can enter the photogenic entry up until Friday evening. Photos may be dropped of at the school during rehearsal Friday night. You do not have to enter the pageant to enter the photogenic contest.
Entry fees are $25 for girls from birth through ninth grade and $35 for girls in tenth through 12th grade. Photogenic entries are $10 for all ages.
Photos may be taken during the pageant for personal use, but no one has permission to take pictures to sell.
There will be salute blocks available this year for only $5 per block in the pageant program. Cheer on your contestant by sending your best wishes.
The concession stand will be open, offering hot dogs, nachos, chips, candy and soft drinks.
Forms with a complete list of rules and rehearsal times are available at the High school or elementary office, Nick’s BBQ, Fever’s, Lonoke County Co-op or from any Heritage League member. All the money raised at the pageant is used for the school and community.
