Today: The Lonoke County Prosecuting Attorney is hosting a toy drive to benefit the Open Arms Shelter. All donations must be new and unwrapped and can be brought to the prosecutor’s office. Monetary donations are also accepted. If needing donations picked up, please call Jennifer or Jessica at 676-2807. Deadline is December 18.

Today: There will be a retirement party for Carlisle Fire Chief Marvin Reid from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the fire station. The public is invited to attend.

Monday: The Lonoke School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the administration building.

Tuesday: A pinch of this food demo will be at 5:15 p.m. at the Carlisle Public Library

Tuesday: The Carlisle City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Civic Center.

Wednesday: The Carlisle Public Library will have a soup toddler time at 10 a.m.

Nov. 21. Carlisle PTS meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the Carlisle Elementary cafeteria.

Nov. 25: It’s movie day at the Carlisle Public Library. Stop by at 3:45 p.m. Snacks will be provided

Nov. 25: The Carlisle Public School District will be closed through Nov. 29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Classes resume 8 a.m. on Dec. 2.

Nov. 27: The Lonoke Public School District will be closed through Nov. 29 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Classes will resume on Dec. 2.

Nov. 28 & 29: The Carlisle Public Library will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday

Dec. 9: The Lonoke City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the court room at city hall.

Dec. 9: The Carlisle School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the board room.

Dec. 16: The Lonoke School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the administration building.

Dec. 17: The Carlisle City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Civic Center.

Dec. 23: The Carlisle and Lonoke Public School District will be closed through Jan. 3 for Christmas break. Classes will resume 8 a.m. on Jan. 7.

Jan. 6: The Carlisle Public School District will be closed for teacher workshop.

Jan. 20: The Carlisle and Lonoke School District will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
