Thursday: The Carlisle Public Library will hold a costume swap today through Oct. 18 during regular business hours. Over 30 costumes to chose from.

Monday: The Lonoke School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the administration building.

Monday: The Carlisle Public Library will host a “Pinch of This” adult cooking demonstration at 5:15 p.m. at the library.

Wednesday: The Immunization Outreach Clinic will be at the Carlisle Schools from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. giving free flu shots. Bring your insurance cards, and claim the shot as part of your “Wellness” program.

Wednesday: The Carlisle Public Library will host a Halloween themed toddler time at 10 a.m.

Wednesday: The Lonoke Public Library will have a Halloween themed story time at 10 a.m. Children two and up are invited to come enjoy in games, crafts, stories and songs.

Oct. 28: Patrons are invited to visit the Carlisle Public Library from 4-6 p.m. to make duct tape wallets.

Oct. 29: The Lonoke High School junior class is hosting a prom fundraiser, spaghetti supper from 5:30 - 8 p.m. in the Lonoke High School Cafeteria, located in the new Gina Cox Center. There will also be a live and silent auction. Cost is $5 per person. Tickets may be purchased through any member of the junior class or at the door.

Oct. 31: Stop by the Carlisle Public Library from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. to “trick or treat” through haunted stacks.

Nov. 3: The Carlisle Futuristic League will host its annual Soup for Scholarships luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Carlisle First United Methodist Church. Tickets are $5 and are available from club members or at the door. Homemade soups and desserts will be served.

Nov. 11: The city of Lonoke municipal office will be closed in observance of Veteran’s day.

Nov. 12: The Lonoke City council will meet at 6 p.m. in the court room.
