Chambers nursing home news

Hello from Chambers Nursing and Rehab Center. We hope everyone is doing well. Here’s the activities for the past two weeks:

On Saturday, Feb. 9 the Landmark Baptist Church came for their weekly visit and we played dominoes that afternoon. Sunday, the Immanuel Baptist Church came in the afternoon and Lonoke Baptist Church came for Sunday School. On Monday, we had Bible study and guitar music played by Jerry Foshee, Don Beasley and friends.

Tuesday, we had exercise class and played bingo. The big winner was Jo Flynn. On Wednesday, the Chatter Club met and we reminisced about Valentine’s Day. Thursday, we had exercise class and the Valentine’s Day Party. The queen was Maudie Sayger and the King was Malvin Goode. We served cherry salad, cookies, fruit dip and strawberries. On Friday, we had Bible study and played dominoes.

On Saturday, Feb. 16 the Landmark Baptist Church came for their weekly visit and Morrison Chapel came for a visit. Sunday, the Lonoke Baptist Church came for Sunday School and Walter’s Chapel came for their visit. On Monday, we enjoyed Bible Study and music by the band, Jerry Foshee, Don Beasley and friends. Tuesday, we had exercise class and played bingo. The big winner was Agnes Batchelor. On Wednesday, the Chatter Club met and we enjoyed popcorn and music. Thursday, we watched a video of the old Beverly Hillbillies. On Friday, we had Bible study and activity therapy.

Billy Booth visited Bessie Swaim and Jimmy Simmons. Connie, Chris, Chester and Land Smith visited Virgie Smith. Carol Rockwell visited Erma Campbell.
