The Carlisle Heritage League is sponsoring the annual Christmas “Angel Tree.” An Angel Tree is a Christmas tree decorated with angel ornaments listing the needs and wishes of Carlisle children who may otherwise not get any Christmas gifts.
The Carlisle Angel Tree will be placed at Medsker Pharmacy, 121 North Court St.
Carlisle Heritage League asks people to choose an angel from the Angel Tree and meet the Christmas wishes for the child on the ornament. When an angel is chosen, please write your name and the number of the chosen angel on the sign-up sheet.
Place the gifts, not wrapped, in a bag or box with the angel attached, and drop off the gifts at BancorpSouth Bank, ask for Tiffany, by 2 p.m., Dec. 7.
Heritage League members will pick up the gifts for delivery to the parents of the children.
“We urge the community to be responsive to the needs of the children of Carlisle during this holiday season. Without the help of the community, some of these children may not have their Christmas wishes come true. This may be the only Christmas some of them have,” Heritage League Angel Tree organizer Barbara Phillips said.
