Today: The Carlisle Elementary School Christmas around the World program will be at 6 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria.

Friday: BancorpSouth in Carlisle will have their Christmas open house from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Monday: The Carlisle and Lonoke Public School District will be closed through Jan. 3 for Christmas break. Classes will resume 8 a.m. on Jan. 7.

Monday: The Carlisle Public library will be doing Christmas Crafts all day.

Monday: The Carlisle Banking Center will have Customer Appreciation Day from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and from 8:30-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Refreshments will be served.

Tuesday and Wednesday: The Carlisle Public Library will be closed in observance of the Christmas Holiday.

Dec. 26: It is Wii Day at the Carlisle Public Library. Stop by between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to enjoy the fun.

Dec. 30: It is movie day at the Carlisle Public Library. Stop by a 2 p.m. to watch a movie.

Dec. 31 & Jan. 1: The Carlisle Public Library will be closed in observance of the New Years holiday.

Jan. 6: The Carlisle Public School District will be closed for teacher workshop.

Jan. 13: The Lonoke City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the courtroom at City Hall.

Jan. 13: The Carlisle School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the superintendents office.

Jan. 20: The Carlisle and Lonoke School District will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

Jan. 21: The Carlisle City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Civic Center.

Jan. 27: The Lonoke School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the administration building. There will be a reception honoring all past and present board members, and specifically recognizing Rick Pennington for his 21 years of service to the district, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. prior to the meeting.
