Altruistic Club makes gowns for Operation Smile

The Carlisle Altruistic Club met on Oct. 10 at the Hamilton Baptist Church to make gowns for Operation Smile. Cindy Cater was hostess.

President Carolyn Martin called the meeting to order. After the Pledge of Allegiance, Ruth Woods called the roll and read the minutes. Treasurer Dorothy Elmore reported on the accounts. Discussion was held about places and needs of the next two meetings.

The meeting will be Oct. 25 at the Swilley Lodge in Hazen.

After the adjournment with the Club Collect, all members help with making the hospital gowns for children of Operation Smile.

A potluck lunch was enjoyed by the members.

Altruistic Club Secretary Mary Smith
