South girls knock off Conway Blue

The Cabot Junior High South Lady Panthers knocked off Conway Blue 53-43 last week.

South led 15-9 after one quarter and 25-19 at halftime.

Conway outscored South 15-14 in the third quarter to trail 39-34 but the Lady Panthers pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Anna Sullivan led South with 28 points, four rebounds and two steals. Chloe Bean had eight points, five rebounds and two steals. Leighton Taylor scored six points, grabbed three rebounds and had three steals.

Courtney Gibson added four points while Madison Morris and Heather Hill scored two points each.

Sarah Davis added a free throw and four rebounds.

The Lady Panthers followed up that win with a 34-23 victory over Bryant on Monday.

South led 10-2 after one quarter and 18-9 at halftime.

Sullivan led South with seven points

Taylor had six points, two rebounds and four steals.

Madison Nichols had six points. Bean had five points. Parker Steadman added four. Morris and Hill had two points each.
