Red team falls to Conway

The Cabot Centennial Bank Junior Red team fell to Conway 16-4 on Friday at the Brian Wade Conrade Memorial Field.

Conway scored four runs in the first, three in the second and nine in the fifth.

Cabot scored two runs in the first. Braden Jarnigan walked and scored on a ground out by Kayde Ridgeway. Also scoring was Josh Kelpine.

Cabot scored two more runs in the third. Jarrett Pitchford singled and scored when Tyler Fowler reached on a fielder’s choice. Chase Harper walked and scored on a single by Caleb Harpole.

Cabot finished with five hits. Getting hits were Kelpine, Pitchford, Jack Teague, Harpole and Wes Brown.

Cabot 12, Sylvan Hills 3

Cabot scored 11 runs in the fourth inning in beating Sylvan Hills 12-3 last week.

Scoring two runs each were Lino Garcia, Austin Jones and Ethan Holland. Also scoring were Braden Jarnigan, Josh Kelpine, Kayde Ridgeway, Jarrett Pitchford, Jacob Womack and Mike Havard.

Seth Cummings got the win. He gave up only one run in four innings of work. He struck out five.

Lakeside 17, Cabot 4

Cabot Red lost to Lakeside 17-4 last week.

Braden Jarnigan, Josh Kelpine, Kayde Ridgeway and Austin Jones each scored runs.

Jarnigan and Jones led Cabot with two hits each. Also getting hits were Ridgeway, Jacob Womack and Seth Cummings.
