Panthers, Lady Panthers do well at Bryant meet

The Cabot Panthers and Lady Panthers put together a good showing in a loaded field at the Bryant Hornet Relays.

Although well behind Bryant overall, Cabot’s boys and girls combined to finish second as a school in the track meet. The Lady Panthers finished third, while the Panthers finished in fifth.

The Lady Panthers received a big boost in their point total from twins Tori and Lexi Weeks. Tori finished first in the 300-meter high hurdles, third in the 100-meter high hurdles, fourth in the triple jump and tied for sixth in the high jump.

The boys spread the wealth around a little more while earning their points. The Panthers had three first place finishes, plus several more in the top 10.

Jordan Burke had a great day, winning the 100-meter dash and finishing third in the 200. Cabot swept the distance events, with Parker Dey winning the 1600, while Nick Davis won the 3200.

Aaron Henry finished second in the shot put and fourth in the discus, while Holdyn Barnes had a big jump to finish third in the long jump.
