Cabot School District officials announced in press release that Panther Stadium at Cabot High School is again open for public fitness use when not being used by student-athletes. Renovation of the track, construction of a band shell and other work required closing Panther Stadium for safety.
Athletic director Steve Roberts asked, in the press release, for careful use of the refurbished facilities.
“We are obviously very proud of the renovations to Panther Stadium, including a completely new state-of-the-art track surface. I know our community will take a lot of pride in helping us keep the facility in great condition,” he said.
“The upkeep of the facilities are very important and everyone can help by following a few simple guidelines to ensure that the track surface is safe for our student-athletes and the district is able to maintain a long-term warranty on the surface,” he said.
Please use lanes 4-8 for walking/jogging; no wheeled vehicles are allowed on track – no bicycles, skateboards, strollers, etc.; no public use during school events; no animals allowed in the facility; no gum, food, or drinks allowed on track or turf; no cleats or spiked shoes allowed on track for recreational use.
