The Cabot North Panthers added another victim last week with a 35-14 win over Little Rock Catholic.
“It was another total team effort with the offense and defense doing a good job,” said Cabot North coach Danny Spencer. “Easton had maybe his best game at running back and the defensive front five did a great job.”
Easton Seidl led the Panther offense with 27 carries for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The North defense held Catholic’s star running back to just 38 yards, his lowest total of the season by far.
The Panthers couldn’t put the Rockets away until the fourth quarter. With just under five minutes to play and leading 21-14, the Panthers got a big play from Eric Larsen when he broke loose and raced for a 61-yard touchdown run.
The final margin was set when Cody Neighbors picked off a Rocket pass in the red zone and returned it 88 yards for the score.
Cabot North takes on Little Rock Central this week, with the game moved to Wednesday night.
