It was the little things that came back to haunt the Cabot Lady Panthers in a 48-46 loss Monday night to the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats.
The Lady Panthers had a better shooting percentage than the Lady Wildcats, but the Cats had a slight edge in turnovers and a big edge in offensive rebounds.
In a game that saw the two teams trade the lead back and forth, those extra possessions were big in the end.
Cabot took a 42-40 lead in the fourth quarter following a three-pointer by Danielle McWilliams. North Little Rock came storming back with four points off a turnover and an offensive rebound, to go along with making free throws down the stretch.
The game was tied 21-21 at halftime. The Lady Panthers held a 35-34 lead after the third quarter.
Anna Sullivan led the Lady Panthers with 19 points and eight rebounds. Alyssa Hamilton scored 10 points and had five rebounds. McWilliams also pulled down five rebounds to go with nine points.
Sarah Davis scored four points for Cabot, while Rachel Allgood and Coco Calhoun rounded out the scoring with two points each.
