The Cabot Lady Panthers played two very different games last week.

On Tuesday, the Lady Panthers hosted the Marion Lady Patriots and came out on top with a 56-43 win.

Marion came out strong to start the game and led Cabot 14-13 after the first quarter. The Lady Panthers got serious in the second quarter and started taking over the contest.

The Lady Panthers outscored the Lady Patriots 11-5 in the second quarter to take a 24-19 halftime lead.

Cabot extended that lead throughout the second half, as Anna Sullivan had the hot hand with a game-high 22 points along with nine rebounds. Alyssa Hamilton was held to six points, but pulled down 11 rebounds. CoCo Calhoun had 10 points and seven rebounds as the Lady Panthers piled up 41 rebounds.

Danielle McWilliams scored nine points in the win, while Leighton Taylor scored five and Rachel Allgood added four points.

Friday night, Cabot made the long trip to Mountain Home and lost 26-22 in a very low-scoring affair.

The Lady Panthers led 9-3 at the end of the first quarter, and 12-3 following a three by Taylor to.start the second quarter.

Cabot went ice cold after that however, shooting 22 percent from the field and just 5 of 16 from the free throw line.

Calhoun led the Lady Panthers with six points, while Taylor added five points and McWilliams four points.
