Lady Panthers get second in conference meet

The Cabot Lady Panthers finished as 7A-Central runners-up in the conference track meet last week at Fort Smith Southside.

The Lady Panthers scored 140 points. Southside won the conference title with 147 points.

The Panthers finished seventh with 37 points in the boys meet. North Little Rock won the conference title with 175 points.

In the girls meet, Cabot’s Lexi Weeks finished seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.94 seconds. She was fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.87 seconds. Weeks also finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.66 seconds.

Micah Huckabee was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.28. Ashley Gore was seventh with a time of 2:37.11.

Huckabee won the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:35.72. Marlene Sheehan was fourth at 5:40.14. Meagan Duncan was sixth at 6:01.25. Samantha Nickell was seventh at 6:11.34.

Sheehan was second in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:25.11. Duncan was third at 13:00.33. Huckabee was fourth at 13:10.54.

Tori Weeks was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 16.95 seconds. Rachael Hall was seventh at 17.45 seconds.

Tori Weeks was second in the 300-meter hurdles at 48.60 seconds. Mallory Rochelle was fourth at 50.31 seconds. Hall was eighth at 51.52 seconds.

Cabot was sixth in the 400-meter relay with a time of 51.83 seconds. Running were Ladaysha Evans, Miranda Walker, Rochelle and Hall.

Cabot was second in the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 4:09.22. Running were Evans, Tori Weeks, Rochelle and Lexi Weeks.

Cabot was third in the 3,200-meter relay with a time of 10:35.66. Running were Gore, Sheehan, Duncan and Seaton Howard.

Lexi Weeks won the pole vault with a height of 12 feet. Tori Weeks was second, also with a height of 12 feet.

Lexi Weeks was second in the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 6.75 inches. Evans was seventh at 16 feet, 3.5 inches.

Tori Weeks was fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 35 feet, 3.75 inches.

Haley Buford was seventh in the shot put with a throw of 28 feet, 2.75 inches.

Boys meet

John Sowden was fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.61.

Mark Odom was seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.77 seconds.

Hayden Richey was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 42.33 seconds.

Cabot was fifth in the in the 400-meter relay with at time of 44.65 seconds.

Cabot was sixth in the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3:37.06. Running were Seth Hoggard, John Sowden, Caleb Duerkop and Zach Launius.

Cabot was third in the 3,200-relay with a time of 8:40.30. Running were Clay Killingsworth, Dylan Ball, Sowden and Riley Hillegas.

Peter Seyler tied for fifth in the high jump with a height of 5 feet, 8 inches. Cody Evans was eighth at 5 feet, 8 inches.

Richey was seventh in the pole vault with a height of 11 feet, 6 inches.

Hoggard was eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 40 feet, 1 inch.

Heath Pledger was fifth in the discus with a throw of 132 feet, 8 inches. Alec Ramirez was seventh at 129 feet, 11 inches. Aaron Henry was eighth at 119 feet, 8 inches.
