Centennial Bank rallies to beat Conway

Cabot Centennial Bank rallied from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Conway Cougars 7-4 on Friday night at the Brian Wade Conrade Memorial Field in Senior American Legion action.

The Cougars scored once in the first and twice in the third before Cabot scored three runs to tie the game at 3-3.

With one out, Ryan Logan reached on an error in the bottom of the third. Conner Vocque then walked. Bryson Morris singled, to drive in Logan. Vocque scored on a stolen base and Morris scored on a ground out by Riley Knudsen.

Conway took a 4-3 lead in the top of the fifth. Cabot then scored three times in the bottom of the fifth to lead 6-4.

Vocque led off with a triple and scored on a single by Morris. Two batters later, Casey Vaughan singled, driving in Morris. Vaughan also scored in the inning.

Cabot added a run in the bottom of the sixth. Logan walked and went to third on errors. He scored on a sacrifice fly by Vocque.

Cabot finished with nine hits. Morris was 4 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Also collecting hits were Vocque, Knudsen, Coleman McAtee and Grayson Cole.

Kaufman got the win, pitching five innings. He gave up four runs on three hits. Only two runs were earned. Logan pitched 1 2/3 innings while Morris pitched a 1/3 of an inning.

Jonesboro 13, Cabot 0

Cabot Centennial Bank lost to Jonesboro 13-0 on June 3.

Jonesboro scored single runs in the first and third innings then scored five in the fourth and six in the fifth.

Cabot had four hits. Bryson Morris had two. Riley Knudsen and Hayden Vinson had one each.
